    Korean slider So Jae-hwan thrilled the home crowd with victory in the Men’s Monobob at the Winter Youth Olympic Games (YOG) Gangwon 2024. He was the last slider to go and had just watched Tunisian Jonathan Lourimi move into Gold medal position on the penultimate run. But So Jaewhan held his nerve at a raucous Alpensia Sliding Centre to top the podium, meaning Tunisia’s first ever Winter YOG medal would be silver. Chi Xiangyu from China won the bronze.
