Snowboarder Lee Chae-un (KOR) has won the Snowboard Slopestyle at the Winter Youth Olympics (YOG) Gangwon 2024, producing the tricks, spins and composure to delight the home crowd with a gold medal. The 17-year-old already had the best score from his first of three runs at the Welli Hilli park ski resort, but had saved his best until last with a sublime final run, scoring 96.0. Eli Bouchard (CAN) won silver with a score of 90 from his second of three good runs. Romain Allemand (FRA) won the bronze ahead of beat Campbell Melville Ives (NZL) who fell agonisingly short of a medal with a score of 89.0, just 0.25 points behind Allemand.
