    STORY SCRIPT: Celebrations and events have been taking place in Senegal to mark one year until the Dakar 2026 Youth Olympic Games (YOG), the first Olympic sporting event to take place on the African continent. IOC President Kirsty Coventry joined the President of Senegal, Bassirou Diomaye Faye for the celebrations, alongside Humphrey Kayange, Chair of the IOC Coordination Commission for Dakar 2026; and Mamadou D. Ndiaye, President of Dakar 2026.
