    A Refugee Youth Olympic Team has arrived in Senegal ready to make history by becoming the first IOC refugee team to compete at a Youth Olympic Games. The six athletes of the Refugee Youth Olympic Team for Dakar 2026 (Dakar 2026 EOR) will break new ground while they are competing in the first Olympic sporting event ever to be staged on the African continent. The team’s participation in the fourth edition of the Youth Olympic Games will raise awareness about the global displacement crisis, and highlights the IOC's dedication to supporting refugees and displaced people.
