Description
Dutch speed skating sensation Angel Daleman had to find a bit of extra room in her luggage as she left the Athlete’s Village at the Youth Olympic Games (YOG) Gangwon 2024. She had to pack three gold medals and one bronze after an incredible performance at the Gangneung Oval. Daleman won all the individual golds on offer - the 500m, 1500m and the Mass Start. She only missed out on gold in the Mixed Relay when her teammate Sem Spruit was caught on the last leg after Daleman had handed over in first place. The 16-year-old hopes her performance in the YOG will give her the platform to be part of the Netherlands team at the Olympic Winter Games Milano-Cortina in 2026.
