      Italian Camilla Vanni won the first gold medal in alpine skiing at the IV Winter Youth Olympic Games Gangwon 2024 and showed what a threat she will be in the next Winter Olympics in her home venue in Milano-Cortina 2026. German skier Benno Brandis, also 17 years-old, won the men’s Super G on the Apollo slope on the first day of action at the Jeongseon High1 ski resort.
