Description
Thailand’s Agnese Campeol is celebrating making history as the first ever Winter Youth Olympics (YOG) medallist for her country. She won silver in the women’s monobob on Monday and credits her success to the New Horizons programme, set up by the PyeongChang Legacy Foundation (PLF) to give an opportunity to athletes from nations without winter sports programmes to train and prepare for their sport. For Arram Kim, Head of the Education Team at PLF, Campeol’s medal is the fulfillment of a promise he made before the Olympic Winter Games in 2018 to ensure the facilities used were put to good use for people from around the world.
