      Angel Daleman (NED) and Finn Sonnekalb (GER) both won gold for the second day running at the Winter Youth Olympic Games (YOG) Gangwon 2024. Daleman, 16, and Sonnekalb, also 16, followed up their victories in the 500m by topping the podium in the 1500m. In the men’s event, Sonnekalb proved a class of his own: his time of 1:50.53 saw him win gold by the huge margin of 2.31 secs. Pan Baoshuo (CHN) took silver, with Kubo Sota (JPN) finishing third.
