      Antonin Guy’s perfect performance at the Winter Youth Olympic Games (YOG) Gangwon 2024 made it three wins out of three in the biathlon when he took gold in the Men’s 7.5km Sprint. But he could have been denied gold by namesake Flavio Guy, who won the bronze. There were four shooting penalties for Flavio to Antonin’s one but less than a minute between them. Silver went to Tov Roeysland (NOR) Carlotta Gautero continued Italy’s incredible success across all sports as she took gold in the Women’s 6km Sprint. Ela Sever (SLO) took silver, and for the first time at Gangwon 2024 a Ukrainian athlete climbed onto the podium. 17-year-old Polina Putsko took bronze.
