There were emphatic wins for the men of Latvia and women of Hungary in the 3-on-3 ice hockey finals in the Winter Youth Olympic Games Gangwon 2024. Hungary beat hosts Korea 10-2 to win the Women’s gold, dousing the hopes of the crowd at the Gangneung Hockey Centre. The bronze medal match was a thriller, with Team China coming from 7-5 down to beat Italy 8-7. In the Men’s final Latvia were unstoppable, surging to a 10-3 win over Denmark and their second gold of Gangwon 2024 so far after Emils Indriksons won the Men’s Skeleton on Tuesday. The men’s bronze medal match was as close as the women’s bronze match, with Kazakhstan beating Austria 6-5.
