Angel Daleman (NED) and Finn Sonnekalb (GER) completed a clean sweep of the individual events at the Speed Skating in the Winter Youth Olympic Games Gangwon 2024. Both had won the 500m and 1500m events before lining up for the mass start, a ten lap race that is a tactical battle for the most part with points being scored at three different times. There are two scoring sprints during the race worth three, two and one points for the top three crossing the line, and the final sprint at the end of the race is worth 30 points to the winner.
