Ukraine’s athletes have completed competition at the Winter Youth Olympic Games (YOG) Gangwon 2024. The team of 44 athletes took part in 12 different sports and took home two medals: a silver in men’s skeleton thanks to Yaroslav Lavreniuk, and a bronze by Polina Putsko in the women’s 6km biathlon. This is the first edition of the Games since the Russian invasion of Ukraine. The athletes have been training in different countries after leaving Ukraine with their families.
