      The Republic of Korea’s brilliant young figure skaters ended their home Winter Youth Olympic Games Gangwon 2024 in style with a team gold at the Gangneung Ice Arena on the final day. The Korean gold included two more exceptional performances from their individual medallists at Gangwon 2024. 17-year-old Kim Heongyum and 15-year-old Shin Jia won their categories to earn a maximum five points. Korean pair Kim Jinny and Lee Namu had finished third in the ice dance. Kim Heongyum won the men’s singles after his individual gold on Monday made him the first Korean male athlete to win a medal at any Winter Olympic event. Shin Jia added her team gold to the women’s singles silver she won on Tuesday.
