      IOC President Thomas Bach has paid tribute to the Korean people, organisers, volunteers and Government who supported the fourth edition of the Winter Youth Olympic Games Gangwon 2024 during a closing ceremony to end two weeks of thrilling action. More than 1,800 athletes from 78 NOCs (National Olympic Committees) across the globe competed in 15 disciplines across seven winter sports, with 81 sets of medals awarded to teenagers already making a mark in international sport.
