      Two days before the lighting of the Olympic Flame at Milano Cortina 2026, the winners of the International Olympic Committee Climate Action Awards 2025 have been announced, recognising efforts to address climate change and make sport more sustainable. The winners of the Climate Action Awards 2025 are Olympic hockey player Hugo Inglis from New Zealand, Olympic rugby sevens player Kevin Wekesa from Kenya, the National Olympic Committee of the Netherlands (NOC*NSF) and the International Biathlon Union (IBU). The announcement was made during the 145th IOC Session held in Milan, ahead of Olympic Winter Games Milano Cortina 2026.
