      The IOC offers the following Video News Release to all news agencies, broadcasters and online news platforms free of charge. Russian couples won gold and silver in the Figure Skating Pairs at the Winter Youth Olympic Games (YOG) in the Lausanne Skating Arena. 16-year old Apollinariia Panfilova and 18-year-old Dmitry Rylov finished first in the short programme completed on Friday, delivering a score of 71.74, over eleven points clear of their Russian teammates in second. The pair continued their dominance in Free Skating by performing three triple throws flawlessly on their way to a comprehensive victory with a grand total score of 199.21, just missing out on the 200 point mark. Just behind them, with a respectable score of 175.42 were Russian compatriots Diana Mukhametzianova and Ilya Mironov. Georgia’s Alina Butaeva and Luka Berulava put on a polished display to win bronze with 157.29. Skating to music from the soundtrack of the ‘Third Person’, Panfilova and Rylov combined strength, balance and impressive technical ability to take Gold. The Russian pair, undefeated this season add the Winter Youth Olympic Games gold to their fast growing list Figure Skating titles.
