An impressive exhibition of Alpine Skiing from Phillip Hoffman of Austria secured him a comfortable gold medal victory in Men’s Giant Slalom at the Winter Youth Olympic Games (YOG), Lausanne 2020. Hoffman, who is 17, was more than two and a half seconds faster than his nearest rivals on the course at Les Diablerets Alpine Centre, above Lausanne in the Swiss Alps. He posted a finishing time of 2:06.31. He left two Swiss skiers in his immediate wake. Sandro Zurbruegg took silver, Luc Roduit winning bronze.
